Wallace Monument
Saturday, April 28th we drove to see The National Wallace Monument in Stirling with Kevin. The boys enjoyed having Kevin on an outing. Kevin is one of Stephen's high school friends, who is working in Aberdeen for a couple of weeks. The boys liked referring to Kevin as Cousin Kevin.
The National Wallace Monument
Stephen and Kevin ready to walk up the hill to the monument.
The hill was challenging, but the boys loved it.
We made it to the top of the hill where we had great views.
We listed to stories of William Wallace from a costumed actor.
We made it to the top of the monument called the crown. The panoramic views were spectacular.
The boys were very proud to have climbed 246 steps to the top of Wallace Monument. They both received a metal for all their hard work. Brady got a teddy bear with the name William on its shirt. The William bear has been cared for very well by Brady. Brady loves to sleep with his new teddy.
