First Month in Kingswells

Stephen, Christi (7 months pregnant) and Brantley. A new beginning in Aberdeen, Scotland for the start of the year 2008.

Almost four years later, October 2011, I'm finally revising and adding pictures to the start of my blog. We have had an incredible experience, and I love that I was able to document our journey with this blog.

January 2nd - We started out the New Year with a 9 hour flight to Amsterdam with Brantley. Brantley did very well. It was the boarding and flight to Aberdeen where we had a few outbursts from our precious 22 month old.

January 3rd- We started unpacking our 7 bags of luggage.

January 4th - Woke up to snow. The movers arrived and the fun of figuring out exactly where everything goes began.

January 5th- Our first Saturday in Kingswells. David and Salli Cobb, Aggies Steve met online, invited us for Lasagna dinner at their house. They live in Kingswells and are not too far from us.

January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th - Salli takes me to the Kingswells Baby & Toddler Group on Tuesdays at the Community Centre. Brantley loves playing with Salli's children and he likes the slides and riding cars.

Salli picked us up every week for Toddlers. Rain, snow, or sunshine, we made our way to the Community Centre for Toddlers every week.


January 11th, 18th, 25th - Salli takes me to the American Mom and Tots play group on Fridays.

January 12th - We have Dave, Salli, Camryn, & Carson over for tacos.

January 23rd - Hazlehead Park with Salli and Carson. Brantley likes the animals!

Carson and Brantley on the swings. Salli was prepared and brought a towel to wipe down the swings and slides. It was a cold and wet day, but we had a good time. We had the park all to ourselves.

January 26th- TGI Fridays with the Cobb's. Finally- I don't have to cook. Fun games and rides for the kids afterwards.

January 30th - Internet is finally turned on!!!! Stephen flies to Paris and then to Tunisia, Africa.
